The State of Indiana

Indiana, presumably named because the land lying along the Ohio River was purchased by the Native Americans, borders the state of Illinois and was admitted as the 19th state in the U.S. in 1816. Home to the capital city of Indianapolis, Indiana is well known for its love for basketball and for producing iconic stars such as Louie Dampier and Larry Bird.

The Hoosier State, as it's commonly nicknamed, has generated the fifth-highest number of professional basketball players per capita of any state and also has the nation's second-largest automotive industry in the country. Indiana has so much to offer!
